The process of designing a book cover (or other graphic material) begins with a discussion about the book’s subject and intended market. From there a rough concept can be proposed and its design complexity estimated. This allows us to quote a fair and realistic price for the project. The process proceeds as follows:

A contract is drawn up and sent out.
The contract is returned signed and with a check for 1/3 the total amount.
Within 14 days rough concepts are presented for review (step 1).
Concepts are approved, modified or new ones created.
Upon approval of a concept a second payment of 1/3 is due.
Within 14 days color concepts are presented via E-mail or U.S. Mail (step 2).
With approval of a final layout the final payment is due.
Print specifications are verified with printer.
Final film or files are prepared with color proofs (step 3).
Final film or files are shipped via FedX upon receipt of final payment.

Some projects may require more or less time. A typical turn- around time for a book cover is five weeks. Book cover files for the web are available with completion of step 2.

If you would like to request a FREE quote for a project you can do so by contacting us via phone/fax/e-mail. We will be happy to discuss your project with you.
